 | Pharmaceutical Sciences VISION Basic and Technology research in the Pharmaceutical Services are undertaken through the coordinated and cooperative efforts of highly qualified researcher giving due recognition and importance to individual initiatives as necessary for scientific advancement with the end in view of contributing to knowledge and national well-being and providing an effective means of utilization of scientific and technical resources and findings with emphasis as indigenous ones. |
 | Biological Sciences VISION From the beginning, the Division has sought to bring excellence in science to the resolution of biological problems. Today this tradition of excellence continues with the present members contributing relevant skills and expertise through research and training in all the major fields of biology. |
 | Agriculture and Forestry VISION This Division envisions to enlist in its roster more scientists with greater capability to: (a) conduct excellent problem-oriented basic research in agriculture and forestry; (b) participate in local and international collaborative research; (c) provide scientific advise on problems on national concern; (d) address the need of the precise and highly productive agriculture and forestry sectors without degrading the environment. |
 | Engineering and Industrial Research VISION This division would like to see the Philippines in the foreseeable future as technology-lead one of the highly industrialized country in Asia. To this end, the division shall continue to encourage and support its members as well as non-members to undertake basic and applied research and development in various fields of engineering and industrial processes where the Philippines will have competitive advantage and which will have significant impact on the quality of life of Filipino.  | Physics MISSION The Division supports research projects in basic physics not normally granted by other sectoral planning councils of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). The R&D grants are essentially for operational expenses. The Division also sponsors the annual congress of the Philippine Physics Society which serves as the forum of disseminating research and development (R&D) results done locally. Members serve in various capacities as consultants, resource persons, committee members or technical panelists of the DOST and other government agencies. |
 | Chemical Sciences VISION The division envisions itself in the next five years to be an organization of world-class researchers, who are highly respected by their peers overseas. Its members are contributing actively to chemical knowledge and to chemical technology through scientific publications and patents. They play an active role in community issues involving chemistry, such as the protection of the environment, food safety and public health. |

 | The Division is composed of 168 eligible researchers (72 regular and 96 associate members) from various government institutions such as the PAGASA, PHIVOLCS, PCASTRD, Department of Energy, PNRI, and the academe such as UP NIGS and the Department of Meteorology and Oceanography. |
