Grants-in-Aid Program
Eligibility Requirements:
All Regular and Associate Members of the NRCP are eligible to submit research proposals for funding under the Council’s Grants-in-Aid (GIA) program. The program supports frontier and problem-oriented research in the sciences and humanities that contribute to national development.
Criteria for Funding
- The proposal is not a duplicate of any past or on-going research (local or international), no ongong project at NRCP to be considered for NRCP - GIA Funding.
- The proposal is aligned with the identified priority areas or programs of the NRCP, DOST, and complements existing projects under the relevant program-based scheme.
- All proposals are reviewed by designated NRCP member-evaluators under the relevant Scientific Divisions. In the final stage of evaluation, proposals are presented before the NRCP Governing Board prior to approval or endorsement to DOST.
- The researcher must be cleared of all technical and financial obligations from any prior NRCP or DOST-funded project before a new grant will be considered.
