Although satisfied with the 20% discount on professional medical fees and medicines and free access to healthcare services, recent study found that elderly in Metro Dumaguete are unsatisfied with the miscellaneous healthcare services in the country.

NRCP awards 7 manuscript grants to Master’s and PhD graduates
The DOST-National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) has awarded manuscript grants to four master’s and three doctoral graduates for 2020.
The manuscript grant is a funding opportunity of NRCP given to MA/MS and PhD graduates to support reproduction of their theses and dissertation manuscript.

NRCP Bayanihan joins relief efforts for Ulysses-stricken Isabela, Cagayan
NRCP team distributes relief goods in Santa Maria, Isabela.
Ulysses, the worst typhoon to strike Cagayan region after 40 years, left thousands in need of drastic support – from basic household essentials to livelihood restoration and development.
In support of the Typhoon Ulysses’ victims, the National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP) conducted relief operations in Isabela and Cagayan on November 21-22, 2020. The said activity is aligned with the national government’s “Whole-of-Nation-Approach” in disaster relief and response.
