A key highlight was the webinar on "Empowering Women and Managing Diversity in the Workplace," held on March 18, 2025, featuring Dr. Emerson G. Aliswag, an expert in Gender and Development. The event emphasized gender-responsive policies, equal participation, and strategies for overcoming workplace barriers. Additionally, NRCP hosted film screenings of On the Basis of Sex and Hidden Figures, showcasing inspiring stories of women who broke barriers in law and STEM. These initiatives reinforced NRCP’s commitment to empowering women and fostering inclusive work environments.

Tackling Vulnerabilities A Human Security – VaWC Training Seminar
The National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) is developing the Human Security Research Agenda (HSRA) as part of the National Integrated Basic Research Agenda (NIBRA). The HSRA focuses on human-centric security, prioritizing health, environment, and economic security. To integrate Gender and Development (GAD) and Violence Against Women and Children (VaWC) perspectives, NRCP personnel are undergoing training to identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to strengthen resilience in the post-pandemic era.

Gender Analysis Training
The two-day Gender Analysis Training for NRCP GAD Focal Point System Members, held on October 21-22, 2024, empowered participants with the knowledge and skills to conduct gender analysis using the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) Checklist. This training enhanced the NRCP's capacity to integrate gender perspectives into its projects, promoting inclusivity and gender equality.

Gender Sensitivity Training
The National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) recently conducted a two-day training to equip its members and personnel with a solid understanding of Gender and Development (GAD) principles, legal frameworks, and SOGIESC issues. The training aimed to foster a more inclusive and gender-sensitive work environment within the organization, empowering participants to identify and address gender-based challenges and implement gender-sensitive policies and practices.
