NRCP shares publication plan to its publishing partner

The officials and staff of National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) visited its partner C&E Publishing Inc. at C&E Information and Resource Center in Quezon City to further discuss the plan on the possible publication of the NRCP manuscripts. 

The manuscript titled “The Updated Guide to Philippine Flora and Fauna” was successfully pitched by NRCP President Aimee Lynn Barrion-Dupo and NRCP Executive Director Bernardo Sepeda to executives of C&E Publishing Inc.

C&E Publishing Inc. was represented by Ms. Mary Anne Eugenio, Senior Vice President – Product Division, Mr. Michael Ditchella, Instructional Design Head, Ms. Lourdes Lopez, Acquisition Consultant, and Mr. Darwin Tolentino, Senior Layout Artist and Art Director at C&E Bookshop. Dupo and Sepeda were joined by NRCP Research Information and Dissemination Division-Library Section’s (RIDD-LS) staff.

Meanwhile, the manuscript titled “Breakthrough for Solidarity’ Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines” along with several manuscripts available from the NRCP’s completed research projects from years past, a plan to translate them into other mediums like library references, textbooks, and innovative learning materials to further disseminate the research and knowledge products within the country and abroad was also shared by the NRCP officials.

“As you may know, NRCP has a library that houses a multitude of research information as early as the 1930s, and this will be a great help to the members for their publication assistance to further produce scholarly works,” Dupo said.

Dupo will co-author the book The Updated Guide to Philippine Flora and Fauna.
