Researchers to gather at the 2024 Annual Scientific Conference

There are more than 6,000 Filipino researchers, scientists, experts, and artists who are members of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP), and some of these will gather at the Annual Scientific Conference (ASC) and 91st General Membership Assembly on 12 March 2024 at Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City.

This year’s scientific conference, themed, “Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Responsive Transdisciplinary Research towards a Sustainable Scientific Future,” will tackle the following issues in its four parallel sessions: Education, Economics, and Creative Industries; Sciences for Value Creation; Health; and Food Security and Biodiversity Studies. Among the speakers will be Dr. Elmer Jose P. Dadios and Dr. Jose Isagani B. Janairo of De La Salle University, Dr. Marvin M. Flores and Dr. Prospero C. Naval, Jr. of University of the Philippines – Diliman, Dr. Iris Thielle Isip-Tan of University of the Philippines – Manila, Dr. Teodoro C. Mendoza of University of the Philippines – Los Baños, and others.

The ASC is where the NRCP recognizes the outstanding contributions of institutions, and of men and women of science, for their achievements, as awardees, member emeritus, and outstanding institutions. Oath taking of newly elected members of the Governing Board, associate, and regular members will also take place.

NRCP is a collegial body of highly-trained and productive scientists and researchers who help in addressing the demand for knowledge, skills and innovations in the field of sciences, technology, arts, and humanities.
