DOST-NRCP Opens CapDev Grants Call for Early-Career Researchers
The Department of Science and Technology-National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP) has opened the 2025 Call for Capacity Development (CapDev) Proposals under its flagship program, the Capability Advancement through Scientific Capacity Development (CASCaDe).
CASCaDe supports early-career NRCP member-researchers through targeted training and capacity development activities in key areas such as grant writing, project management, and scientific publication.
The funding, based on the 2023 Training Needs Survey of NRCP members, allows the chairpersons of the 13 scientific divisions and the Visayas and Mindanao regional clusters to submit proposals for funding of up to PHP 350,000 each to support capacity development activities for members in 2025. They are responsible for planning and implementing these activities to ensure active members engagement.
This program promotes regional equity and empowers researchers, helping build a stronger and more competitive research and development community nationwide.
Proposals are accepted from 16 April 2025 to 31 May 2025, until 5:00 PM.
Interested proponents may access the full guidelines and forms via https://bit.ly/Call_CapDev. Submit proposals and direct inquiries to CASCaDe Program Secretariat at nrcp.cascade@gmail.com.
