Water Security STI Roadmapping Workshop

Dr. Michael Angelo Promentilla, NRCP expert and Chair of the NRCP Division of Engineering and Industrial Research, leads the NRCP Technical Working Group for crafting the 5-year STI roadmap for water security.

Manila, October 5, 2023 – The Department of Science and Technology, through its Office of the Undersecretary for Regional Operations and DOST Regional Office VII, has partnered with the National Research Council of the Philippines to craft a five-year national science technology and innovation (STI) Road Map for water security.

The consolidated inputs of various water stakeholders (government organizations, public and private organizations) involved in water are to be presented today, October 5, at the Henry Sy Hall, De La Salle University, Manila.

NRCP member-experts in water security and water resources management are gathered here today to facilitate the concurrent sessions in which all water initiatives and projects supported by the Government will be harmonized towards a holistic approach to the attainment of water security for the Philippines.
