The RDLead Program conducted an information drive at the Philippine Air Force – Air Education Training Doctrine Command (PAF – AETDC) in Fernando Air Base, Lipa City, Batangas last March 30, 2022.

The activity was held in connection with the completed RDLead engagement at the PAF – AETDC, particularly its two (2) units, the Training Development Center (TDC) and the Air Leadership Excellence Nexus (ALEN) under the mentorship and guidance of RD leader, Dr. Franco G. Dr. Teves mentored both the PAF – AETDC uniformed and civilian personnel, who successfully yielded research proposals.

One of the approved proposals for NRCP funding is the one submitted by Maj. Ross Mar Villareal, the Commanding Officer of the TDC. Major Villareal is an Associate Member of the NRCP Division 1 – Governmental, Educational, and International Policies.

With the success of the 6-month RDLead engagement in 2021 and to encourage more uniformed and civilian personnel to engage in R&D, the PAF – AETDC requested for an NRCP information drive, particularly on membership, research priorities, and the RDLead program.

The RDLead engagement at PAF-AETDC enabled the unit of the air force to secure a research grant from the NRCP under the security and defense R&D agenda. The approved project,  Strengthening the Operational Readiness of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in Combat and Disaster Response Mission is slated to be implemented this year .

Personnel from the various NRCP sections are among the NRCP delegation, they are: Ms. Mary Charlotte O. Fresco, Sr. SRS for membership; Ms. Karizza C. Yambao, SRS I for research priorities; Mr. Marfy H. Lita for the RDLead; and Ms. Maradika Y. Maravilla – Ramos for activity documentation. (Marfy Lita, Project Development Officer V)
