DOST-NRCP to Gather RD Leaders and Partners at the 2025 RDLead Conference and Year-End Assembly
The Department of Science and Technology-National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP) will convene RD Leaders, host institutions, regional partners, and key stakeholders at the 2025 RDLead Conference and Year-End Assembly on 17 December 2025 at the Grand Westside Hotel, Parañaque City.
Carrying the theme “Fire in Motion: From Sparks to Synergy,” the event will showcase the progress and milestones of the Research and Development Leadership (RDLead) Program, including updates under the RDLead FIRE initiatives. Success stories from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be highlighted, showing how RD Leaders and host institutions have strengthened research ecosystems and supported community development across the country.
“The RDLead Program continues to be a catalyst in building strong research culture in our institutions,” said Dr. Bernardo N. Sepeda, DOST-NRCP executive director and RDLead project leader.
The assembly will also serve as a venue for collaboration, bringing together institutions engaged in RDLead to discuss challenges, opportunities, and future directions. Participants are expected to share experiences and expand partnerships that support innovation and research capacity nationwide.
Since its launch in 2018, RDLead has assisted Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Research and Development Institutes (RDIs), and National Government Agencies (NGAs) in enhancing their research capabilities in alignment with DOST priorities.
Through RDLead FIRE, the program continues to broaden its reach and engage more institutions in addressing local and national development needs. (Byron Lei B. Diaz, S&T Media Service)
