Postponed 2020 NRCP scientific conference goes virtual

The Department of Science and Technology - National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP) Annual Scientific Conference (ASC) and 87th General Membership Assembly (GMA) with the theme “Research for Public Good” will be virtually held via Zoom on June 30, 2020, Tuesday, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 NN. The events were scheduled last March 9 at the Philippine International Convention Center but was put on hold when the Department of Health (DOH) raised Red Code Alert on COVID-19 on Saturday, 7 March 2020 in view of the already escalating curve of COVID-19 transmission globally.

Amid COVID, DOST-NRCP receives 90 research proposals

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) launched its directed 2021 Call for Proposals where its four (4) research councils had their respective schedules to do their call. In this way, research proposals are sieved from the very start, hence, eliminating duplications and getting a higher percentage of proposals that are aligned with each council’s areas for research.
