NRCP Regional Basic Research Caravan - Central Visayas Presents the Impact of ICT in Education and Health

The Department of Science and Technology- National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP) is hosting its second virtual NRCP Regional Basic Research Caravan in Central Visayas on September 30, 2020.
At this time that the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is getting extensive as a result of the CoViD-19 pandemic where face-to-face gatherings like in schools are not allowed, NRCP aptly chose to present the results of the project “Uses and Users of ICT: Impact on Education and Health” conducted by its Member, Dr. Irene Villasenor, Professor of the Institute of Chemistry, UP Diliman. Dr. Villasenor will present the pervasiveness of the use of ICT and digital practices in educational and research institutions.

The books present the very essence of Filipinnovation and put into reality DOST’s adage Science for the People. The books will be launched virtually on September 24, 2020.

Bannered with the theme Nurturing Regional R&D Niches, the DOST-NRCP launched its first virtual NRCP Regional Basic Research Caravan (RBRC) in the CARAGA region, in partnership with DOST Regional Office XIII last September 9, 2020 via Zoom.
“We aim to promote NRCP’s breakthrough researches–basic research in particular, and to strengthen NRCP membership promotion amid the current situation,” NRCP Executive Director, Dr. Marieta Bañez Sumagaysay said.
