 Priority will be given to basic and transdisciplinary researches of vital importance to 1) the advancement of research or knowledge, 2) have significant impacts on the environment, 3) relevant to the goals of national development, 4) necessary for policy formulation or for the development of position papers and/or advocacy-statements on vital issues or problems; and 5) are in accordance with the policy of the Council.

Previous grantees with outstanding obligations need not apply.
