The National Research Council of the Philippines is making a call for research proposals from its members in the fields of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Sciences and Engineering. The duration of the project is for one year and the proponent promises as one of its output an ISI or Scopus Indexed publication based on the results of the research. The size of the funding can range from P300,000 to P2.5 M. The coverage of the topic must fall under the National Integrated Basic Research Agenda of the NRCP. The criteria for selection will be based on the following:
- Scientific basis of the proposal and novelty of approach. Cutting edge research will be given priority over proposals that are mere/extensions application of existing technologies.
- Feasibility of the research to be completed in one year
- Research track record of the proponent.
The deadline of submission of proposal is on January 15, 2017. The proposals will be screened and undergo peer review under a committee headed by the chair of the appropriate division where the proposals falls under. The proponent will be informed by February 15, 2017 of the decision of the Panel.
